Does OcuMap require proprietary capture hardware?
No. OcuMap is hardware-agnostic and works with supported files created by the cameras, scanners, drones, and mobile devices your team already uses.
How long does setup take?
Create a project, upload your files, and add a floor plan or map — most teams have their first project navigable the same day. No installation is required; OcuMap runs in the browser.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes: free forever, no credit card, no expiry. 5 GB, one team member, one active published project, and every core documentation type including point clouds.
Which camera works best with OcuMap?
Any camera that writes GPS coordinates into the photo. OcuMap reads standard 360° imagery, standard photos and video from consumer 360° cameras, phones, drones and vehicle-mounted rigs alike — there is no proprietary hardware to buy and no certified device list. If your images already carry GPS, they will map. If they do not, you can place them on a floor plan or map by hand.
Data & files
What file types does OcuMap support?
Photos, standard video, 360° imagery, LAS, LAZ, and E57 point clouds are viewed natively. Supported DWG, RVT, IFC, glTF, and FBX files are stored and viewed through Autodesk-powered viewing; PDFs, maps, GPS data, KML, KMZ, GPX, CSV, and related documents can also be stored and organized.
Do you keep my original files?
Yes. Originals are preserved as uploaded and remain downloadable. OcuMap organizes and displays your documentation without locking it into a proprietary format.
Can I view point clouds without desktop software?
Yes. LAS, LAZ, and E57 files open directly in the browser viewer — no plugins or conversions.
How is storage counted?
Storage is shared capacity across your organization, not per project or per building.
Sharing
Do the people I share with need an account?
No. Published Viewers open in any modern browser without requiring a recipient account. You can add password protection, download controls, and expiration dates when needed.
Can recipients see my working project?
No. A Published Viewer contains only the content you choose to include. Your working environment stays private to your team.
Is there a limit on how many viewers I can publish?
No — Published Viewers are unlimited on every plan under our Fair Use Policy.
Plans & billing
What counts as a team member?
A signed-in user who can upload, edit, publish, or delete. Viewers of published content never consume a seat.
Can I add seats to Professional?
Yes — up to three additional seats at $29/month each, for a maximum of four users. Growing teams with more than four users fit better on OcuMap 360.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Creating a Free account requires no credit card, and the Free plan never expires.
